Jeju-NU has signed the agreement with Dusit Thani College and Mae Fah Luang University of Thailand to jointly develop and administer the Massive Open Online Course(MOOC) at a formal ceremony held in Shilla Hotel where in Seoul in November 20. This business agreement is part of a plan to promote exchange and cooperation between K-MOOC and Thai-MOOC.
Through these agreements, the universities agreed to jointly develop and exchange MOOC curriculum and contents, utilize MOOC learning results, share and spread social awareness, share knowledge about MOOC quality assurance, and mutual consultation on MOOC platforms.
They also agreed to take mutual consideration for recognition of MOOC credit, cooperate with community development to support MOOC, and cooperate with staff and student exchanges in tourism management field MOOC.
According to the agreement, Jeju-NU and Thai universities will develop MOOC-linked lectures in the field of tourism management and operate them in the form of bundled lectures. It is based on English and it is a policy to process the two languages as subtitles.
Dusit Thani College is a private institution specializes in hotel management industry and opened its educational program in 1993, whereas Mae Fah Luang University is a higher education institution.
